When to seek care

Intense thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision, unusual fatigue, or unexplained weight loss deserve a medical evaluation — especially with a family history of diabetes.
If you already have diabetes and notice new symptoms, wounds that do not heal, or recurring infections, talk to your clinician.
Emergency: confusion, persistent vomiting, severe chest pain, or fainting — seek emergency care.
